6 - 10 July 2026
The second week marked the official commencement of the teaching and learning session at TVET MARA Jasin for the July-December 2026 academic semester. After a busy and eventful orientation week, the focus shifted towards academic delivery, classroom management, and student engagement. This transition required careful preparation to ensure that all teaching activities were conducted effectively and in alignment with the institution's curriculum requirements.
The July-December 2026 semester presents a significant teaching responsibility, as I have been entrusted with four core subjects across six different classes. This opportunity allows me to contribute meaningfully to the academic and personal development of students while further enhancing my teaching experience and professional competence as an educator.
The subjects assigned to me for this semester are as follows:
- NUS 10081 - Tarbiah Muslim
- DUS 30052 - Syariah dan Kehidupan
- DUS 30062 - Syariah dan Kehidupan
- DUS 10062 - Penghayatan Akidah
During the first week of lessons, students were introduced to the course outlines, learning outcomes, assessment methods, and classroom expectations. Establishing a positive learning environment was a key priority, as it would serve as the foundation for effective teaching and meaningful student participation throughout the semester. This initial interaction also provided an opportunity to understand students' backgrounds, learning needs, and levels of readiness for their respective courses.
Managing multiple subjects across different classes requires thorough planning, effective time management, and adaptability. Each course possesses its own learning objectives and content requirements, which necessitate the use of appropriate teaching strategies to ensure that students remain engaged and achieve the intended learning outcomes.
Reflection
This week allowed me to reconnect with my primary role as an educator after focusing extensively on orientation activities during the previous week. The commencement of classes marked the beginning of a new academic journey for both the students and myself. Through the initial teaching sessions, I was reminded of the importance of preparation, communication, and continuous improvement in delivering quality education. I look forward to guiding my students throughout the semester while further developing my pedagogical and professional skills during my practicum journey.
